What would you like to see in your future food system?
Our Future Food Systems Summit can help your vision become reality.
We are looking for bright spots of sustainable farming and food systems across India and Mexico.
We chose Kerala, Punjab, Oaxaca and Puebla because these states represent the diversity of food systems across India and Mexico, and they have distinct challenges and opportunities to work toward a more sustainable future.
Our research vision
We believe that solutions for more sustainable agri-food systems already exist.
Therefore, we want to identify regions that represent ‘bright spots’ of sustainable agriculture and food systems, learn from them, and share that knowledge. The first step is to understand what matters to local groups when they envision a sustainable future.
Our research will bring diverse groups together to work toward a common goal, fostering just and sustainable food systems for us and for generations to come.

About us
We care about people, nature, and food
We are a group of optimists (and scientists) at the University of Hohenheim in Germany, who look for and amplify the beauty in the world. We deeply care about people, nature, and food, of course!
We aim to do transformative research, by working across disciplines, leveraging our values, and collaborating within and outside of academia.
We are collaborative researchers
We are collaborating with other scientists in Mexico, India, Switzerland, and Germany. Now we want to collaborate with you!
We do research to understand the systems around us and work with others to shift them toward equity and sustainability.
